Alien Abduction
Voxel render of house being abducted by a UFO tractor beam.
Most of the time when creating voxel scenes It takes me maybe a few days or weeks to get them finished. But since I pulled a rare all-nighter to get this one done, I finished it way faster than I normally finish scenes.
I'm sure there are improvements I could give to the final image, but overall I'm really happy with how this turned out.
I notice that I tone down the scope of these projects a lot. For example, I planned to have a rice paddy for the whale render, but I just settled with a reflective ground. I also wanted to have a whole cobblestone wall and lawn for one of the bluebox houses but I didn't do that either. For this scene I wanted to have the location be some kind of neighbourhood or wheat field, but of course I just went with a blank background. Usually I'm limited by the world border of the program (or when I'm lazy :P), so I have to decide to leave things out.
Many thanks to my friend for their advice during the creation of this scene, their input really made the render turn out really well.
