Cinnabar (Novel AI)

Howdy. I've been on vacation for the past week. Been watching tons of anime and playing some games. Taking it easy. Good times. I'm starting to get back into my DnD grind again. My first stop is North Point. I just finished rewatching Eminence in Shadow. I think the movie is coming out sometime this year. I love the show and it's been a while so I was happy to do it. Iris is one of my favorite characters. She goes absolutely insane in those last few episodes of season 1 and I love every second if it. So as it goes I went to NAI to see if she had a prompt, since I have a few spots I need to fill in. She did. So here we are.

I also happen to love Land of the Lustrous. Really want another season of that. I need to rewatch it. My wife bought me the manga but I'm not big on reading. I have trouble getting connected to the material. It's kinda hard to explain. TLDR anime is my go to. Iris obviously has that scarlet and fiery theme. When I started working on a name, Cinnabar instantly jumped out at me. Cinnabar is a scarlet red and highly toxic ore. Fitting right? I don't have all of her lore thought out yet. I'm trying to come up with a way to add the toxic part in. Maybe she's like Closure and has issues with her magic going wild and burning people when she gets a little too emotional. Or something. I don't know yet.

What I do have, is that Cinnabar is one of the main leaders in charge of Fortress Intolerance in North Point. I've laid out already that Vivian Artoria is the de facto leader of the Fortress, and Le Fay is almost literally the core of the place. Cinnabar will probably be right under Vivian, as some form of General or Commander for the ground forces on the front lines. I plan on making her pretty standard personality wise. She's die hard military. Well disciplined. Very sharp. Intelligent. Etc. I want most of the Fortress's people to be like that because North Point and the northern edges of the I.C. see the worst Demonic Incursions in the world. This is not a place to screw around.

I have worked a little on the event itself. The group will be invited to Fortress Intolerance by some of the NP Brass who were at the Preserve. Lupa Team is pretty notable to be fair and they did put on a good show. During their visit, something will go wrong with the Fortress. The communications and targeting systems will glitch out, leaving the Fortress blind.

I'm still trying to tie it all together, but the plan is to have everyone in attendance assist while the Fortress technicians get everything up and running again. Essentially they're going to tap into a Relay and start relaying, haha, targeting information to the rest of the group and Le Fey. Then they'll use the Fortress's interface to help her aim the cannons. In simplest terms. I'm making a special map and they're gonna be playing live action battleship.

Right now that's where I'm at. I should be back to posting regularly again or at least close. Got a few more days of vacay left. :p
