Based on a scene from the second Pippi Longstocking book; "Pippi goes on Board." Pippi plays with some kids in the forest during a picnic but suddenly gets real quiet. Her friends see her on the ground holding something in her hands and it turns out to be a baby bird that fell from its nest and died. One of her friends points out that she's crying because her eyes are red but Pippi denies it and simply places in gently on a bed of moss saying; "If I could, I'd bring you to life again" and sighs.
