‘Rebellious Flower : Winter Rose’ is a project that will present fifteen (not including this) pin-ups of the character Kirsty from Dragalia Lost. Projected to extend for 15 days, with a pin up to be released on 11:00 PM (23:00) Pacific Time each day starting on September 27th, 2021 to October 11th, 2021. This is to line up as well with Dragalia Lost’s 3rd Anniversary in celebration of it.

This project is an act of love and dedication to one character, exploring the dynamics and life of the fictitious militant, beautiful fighting girl not within a boundary of in-context story but majorly to re-envision her rurally and lovingly by my brush. A thousand flourishes to the girl that I wanted be stepped on by, and fifteen attempts to envision sides of her from my perspective.

The majority of the paintings themselves are referenced from old Japanese model shoots, curated and following the photographer’s lead in their own attempts to reveal sides of the women that they are capturing; As such for Kirsty, I had wanted to go deeper in depiction, exploring her elegance in more ways than one.

And as rough of a kit she has, and as much slack she has gotten- whether it be true or not I wanted to do this for the love of the character. So may my rebellious commander blossom beautifly as the flower she in within this project.

These digital paintings were also aimed to be posted alongside the event of the official Dragalia Lost Discord's 'Staff Stan Round 2' where I aimed to get some perks for Kirsty, which goes on for roughly 15 days explaining the projected number of paintings and when these are posted. I hope to get her to first place in voting as well.
