Sonic XZ is my upcoming passion project web comic series, a faithful reboot and reinvention of the early 2000s Sonic era. The series takes place directly after Sonic Adventure 2 and reimagines the story arcs from Sonic Advance 1 & 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Battle, Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Rush, and Shadow the Hedgehog.
My goal is to rebuild this era’s narrative with stronger worldbuilding, refined lore, updated character arcs, and new original ideas, all while staying true to the heart and spirit of the classic games.
As the project’s creator, I handle:
• Concept Design
• Character Design
• Environmental & Architectural Design
• Background Art
• Comic Art & Visual Storytelling
Full comics are available on Webtoon (Coming: 1/1/2026), and YouTube will feature trailers and future motion comics as the series continues to grow.
This project is not only a tribute to the Sonic stories that inspired me growing up, but also a step toward my dream of one day working with SEGA as a designer or creative director.

Sonic XZ は、2000年代初期のソニック時代を忠実に再構築しつつ再発明する、私が情熱を注ぐWebコミックシリーズです。物語は『ソニックアドベンチャー2』の直後から始まり、『ソニックアドバンス1＆2』『ソニックヒーローズ』『ソニックバトル』『ソニックアドバンス3』『ソニックラッシュ』、そして『シャドウ・ザ・ヘッジホッグ』のストーリーアークを新たに描き直します。
このシリーズの目標は、当時の物語をより強固な世界観や洗練された設定、アップデートされたキャラクターアーク、そしてオリジナル要素で再構築しつつ、クラシックゲームの“心”と“精神”を忠実に守ることです。
私は本プロジェクトにおいて以下を担当しています：
• コンセプトデザイン
• キャラクターデザイン
• 環境・建築デザイン
• 背景アート
• コミックアート & ビジュアルストーリーテリング
フルコミックは Webtoon（2026年1月1日公開予定） で配信され、YouTube ではトレーラーや今後のモーションコミックを順次公開していく予定です。
このプロジェクトは、私が幼い頃に影響を受けたソニック作品への敬意であると同時に、いつか SEGA でデザイナーやクリエイティブディレクターとして働くという夢に向けた一歩でもあります。
